David Hosts & Keynotes Environmental Youth Speak Second Year Running

YouthSpeak 2014-63

For the second year running, David’s been honoured to host the hotly contested Environmental Youth Speak (You can read about the first year he hosted it, and the organisers comments on David’s contribution here).  The event is an exciting, fun, confidence-building, annual, public speaking competition organised to stimulate debate on waste and recycling among young people.  The competition gives school pupils the opportunity to research and speak their mind on topical environmental issues.

The environment and sustainability are real passion areas for David, and he has worked closely with organisations in this space for over years including the Eco Schools project, Tidy Ni, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, The Big Beach Clean Up, and Greenbiz to name but a few.

David’s contribution for this second year was a huge success with event organiser Clive Catterson commenting;

”David Meade was invited by Local Authority Officers to compere the Youth Speak 2014 event for schools for the second year running. He was invited back due to the professional manner in which he approached the event in 2013 and his polite and courteous manner. This year’s event went just as smoothly, David being popular with competitors, the audience and the event managers. He didn’t disappoint.”

David would like to thank the entire team for all their hard work on this valuable project, and applaud all of the young people who worked so hard on their own contributions on the day.
