David brought fun, focus and critical thinking to challenges facing the NHS
The HCA Leadership & Development Forum 2017 took place across a 2 day conference in Belfast bringing together NHS staff from across the UK. The focus of the event was on seizing the moment in preparation for significant challenges facing the future of the National Health Service. David Meade closed the conference with an engaging presentation on how to critically think about how NHS staff approach decision making, leadership, motivation and innovation in times of change and cut backs.
Elsa Witherspoon, HCA Forum 2017 Secretary commented that;
“Seize the Moment – Deliver the Future was the title of our forum and David delivered a bespoke presentation reflecting the current position and future needs of the NHS. From the moment he bounced up on to the stage, his energy was contagious especially as this was the final session of the closing day of the Forum. His interaction with his audience was captivating and his promotion of Northern Ireland and our culture to an audience of English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish and Ulster locals was very refreshing. His research and knowledge of our association was very evident as he covered the many facets of our 2 day programme i.e. decision making, leadership, motivation, innovation, communication, problem solving, sales, creativity and team work.
David presented this in a fun way encouraging us to think critically about the challenges in Seizing the Moment – Delivering the Future. The audience was totally engaged and participated fully in his mind reading skills with much laughter and local wit. His personal family experience of long hours spent in the Belfast Royal Group of Hospitals added a sense of reality and genuine admiration for the great institution that is the NHS. Excellent fun end to a very memorable Forum.”
